1. The term "Client" refers to the family seeking to recruit the help of an au pair.  The "Agency" refers to FrenchAuPairs.com.

2. These terms and conditions are deemed to be accepted by the Client on completion of the registration form.

3. A (non-refundable) registration fee of GBP30 is payable to "FrenchAuPairs.com" by the Client upon submission of the Client's Family registration.  Upon receipt of this payment, FrenchAuPairs.com will commence the search for a suitable applicant. 

4. There is a placement fee of 

GBP100 - for an au pair wishing to stay one month;

GBP200 - for an au pair wishing to stay between one and five months;

GBP300 - for an au pair wishing to stay over five months, payable to the Agency by the Client on receipt of the invoice, and prior to the arrival of the au pair.  The invoice will be sent when the au pair accepts the offer to come and stay with the Client, and provides a start date.

5. Following payment in full by the Client of the placement fee, and if, within the first 14 days of arrival, the au pair proves unsuitable, the Agency will provide one free replacement as soon as possible.  The Client must notify the Agency in writing within the 14-day period, stating the reasons for dissatisfaction with the placement. This offer is subject to the proviso that there has been no material deviation from the requirements set out in the Family Registration Form.  Should the Agency be unable to find a replacement within a 30-day period, a refund will be made less GBP50 administration charge.  The Agency cannot be held responsible should the au pair stay for a shorter time than originally agreed.

6. Should the au pair fail to take up the position, following the agreement between the Client, the Agency, and the au pair to do so, a replacement will be found by the Agency.  Should the Agency be unable to find a replacement within a 30-day period, a refund of the placement fee will be made less GBP50 administration charge.  

7.  The Agency will endeavour to introduce suitable applicants as au pairs.  It is the responsibility of the Client to be satisfied as to the suitability of the applicant. 

8.  The Agency does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage resulting from any negligent, dishonest or malicious act by the au pair.

9.  All information provided to the Client is confidential.  Should the Client transfer information supplied by the Agency, which results in the engagement of an au pair by a third party, the Client will be liable to pay the full placement fee to the Agency for that engagement.

10.  If the Client cancels the booking after the au pair has been engaged and prior to arrival at the Client's home, an additional  cancellation fee of GBP50 will become payable.

11.  If the au pair decides to extend his/her stay beyond the period originally contracted, GBP50 will be payable to the Agency by the Client for each additional month's stay, up to the maximum placement fee (GBP300).
